Ambala, May 13, 2025: Ambala Police has arrested two accused in the digital arrest case in a major action against cyber crime. Cyber police has recovered cash worth Rs 1 lakh 65 thousand and three mobile phones in this operation. This action has been taken by the Ambala Cyber Police team under the guidelines of Haryana Police.
Cyber Police action
Ambala Police said in a press conference on Tuesday that two main accused have been detained in this case related to cyber crime. The police presented them before the media by covering the faces of both the arrested accused with black cloth. In the press conference, police officials said that the items recovered include cash worth Rs 1.65 lakh and three mobile phones, which were used to commit the crime.
Growing threat of digital arrest
According to the police, digital arrest is a new method of cyber crime, in which criminals resort to fake calls and messages to intimidate people. In this case too, the accused had duped many people using the same technique. The cyber police has started an in-depth investigation in this case and the search for other suspects is on.
Strict warning from the police
Ambala Cyber Police has appealed to the people to be cautious of unknown calls and messages. The police also said that strict action will be taken against those involved in such crimes. This action has been carried out in collaboration with Haryana Police and Additional Director General (ADGP) of Ambala Range.
